Relocating to Utah Home Selling Tips
Relocating to Utah may be a tough transition, depending on where you come from. It may be a bit of a culture shock to those who aren't used to conservative views and laws. The majority of the population (approx. 70%) of Utah is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (The Mormons). There are a lot of misconceptions about the Mormons and their culture. The most common misconception is they practice polygamy - which has been abolished for over 120 years.

Recreation and Climate
If you're a lover of the outdoors, Utah is the place to live. There is the world-famous skiing and snowboarding, mountain biking, hunting, fishing, camping, and boating. It doesn't get too hot in the mountains during the summer, which makes it nice for enjoying the outdoors year-round. In the valleys during the summer, the temperature can reach the low 100's. There is basically no humidity, which makes the hotter days more bearable. You'll see snowfall about 5 months of the year, but not a lot of accumulation except for the main winter months (December, January, and February).

Residents and Community
The people of Utah are hard-working, honest, have good moral standards, accepting, and for the most part, conservative. There are a lot of children that live here - per capita, there are more children here than any other state. Families average 2.8 children per household versus the national average of 2.2. The average household income of Utah is around $45,000 per year.
